Make Music Bertie County is a live, free musical celebration on June 21, the longest day of the year, with concerts on streets, sidewalks, and parks across the county.

About

Make Music Bertie County is a free, countywide day of music to be held annually on June 21st. This is our inaugural year as a Make Music Day Chapter. This festival is part of Make Music Day, an international summer solstice music celebration occurring around the world.


Participate

Musicians
Make Music Day brings joy, inspires creativity, and transforms communities. Make Music Bertie County is open to musicians of all ages, skill levels, and styles. It celebrates and promotes the natural music maker in all of us, regardless of ability.

Make Music Day events turn sidewalks and streets into impromptu stages; amateur musicians share their passion and gain confidence; and give established artists in all genres a chance to perform for new audiences

You can play one show or schedule as many as you like.

Venues
Hosting can be as simple as providing space on your porch or as complex as renting a stage and sound equipment. The host controls the location, length of performance, and what they are able to provide.

Host Sites must:

  • Be within the County limits
  • Be free and accessible to the public
  • Maintain clearance on the sidewalk for pedestrian passage
