Kayatta
Kayatta is an American rapper, poet, producer, creator of Poems and Papers Productions, and educator who grew up in the historic streets of West Oakland. Over the years, she has developed into an all-around talent skilled on stage and highly effective in the classroom. Considered one of the best artists in the Bay, Kayatta fuses her raspy poetry with drums and bass to create sonic goodness that seethes with audacious honey. She is one of one and a delightful treat to your ears, especially if you are a hip-hop lover. Her sound is hers alone and rooted in telling an authentic, reflective, black, queer, joyous, and inspiring story.
