Bristol, Tennessee-Virginia is designated the “birthplace of country music” by U.S. Congress, but all kinds of music is made here. Both states meet along the aptly named State Street in the heart of Bristol’s historic downtown, made famous by the 1927 Bristol Sessions and NASCAR.
