Make Music Day is a global celebration of music held annually on June 21st. This free, inclusive festival invites people of all ages, abilities, and musical backgrounds to participate in making music together. In 2024, Cambridge proudly hosted more than 30 performances across a dozen different host sites throughout the community. Make Music Day Cambridge is brought to you by Collaborative 523 Inc and a group of dedicated volunteers who desire to make the arts shine in Cambridge. From professional musicians to amateur enthusiasts, participants filled the streets, parks, and local businesses with the joy of live music. Make Music Day celebrates the universal language of music while fostering community connections and supporting local culture. In general, artists and performing venues will share the very minimal expenses of each performance, or reach out to their own donors to do so. However, we may need a little help to fund signage and certain other expenses.
