Make Music Chattanooga celebrates World Music Day on June 21st and December 21st with concerts in venues and outdoor spaces across the city. From live concerts, to jam sessions and workshops, this day is a celebration of our vibrant music community through:

Celebrating local talent: Providing a platform for local musicians, bands, and performers to showcase their talent and creativity.

Promoting our rich musical heritage: Highlighting the city’s music history and celebrating the diverse sounds that have shaped Chattanooga’s music scene.

Supporting music education: Offering opportunities for music education and skill-building through workshops, jam sessions, and interactive activities.


Make Music Day (June 21)

Are you a musician, performer, venue owner, educator, or simply someone who loves music? We invite you to be a part of Make Music Day Chattanooga! There are countless ways to get involved, from hosting an event to performing live music, leading workshops, or simply attending and enjoying the festivities. Everyone is welcome to join the celebration and share their love of music with the community.

Register as a performer or venue by Monday, June 2, 2025.

Join the celebration! Sousapalooza is your chance to step into the spotlight and celebrate the timeless music of John Philip Sousa with an unforgettable community event! We’re looking for a dynamic band leader and a host location to help us bring this unique gathering to life. Picture musicians of all ages and skill levels coming together for a mass performance of Sousa’s iconic marches, fostering camaraderie, community spirit, and a shared love of music. Whether you’re a seasoned conductor, a local venue with a passion for music, or an enthusiastic supporter of the arts, we’d love for you to be part of this lively celebration! The CHA Music Passport is your guide to exploring and celebrating Chattanooga’s vibrant music scene. This initiative connects community members with live music events, highlighting local talent and unique venues across the city. While it plays a key role during Make Music Day and Make Music Winter, the CHA Music Passport goes beyond these celebrations, creating year-round opportunities to experience and support the rich musical diversity that makes Chattanooga special.
