Kei Lyrix

Indie Recording Artist, Lyricist, Singer/Songwriter, Femcee & Rapper, Kei Lyrix, is from the Southside of Chicago, She was classically trained in piano from age 3-6 years old. Kei’s musical roots stemmed from her mother, Tina “Showboat” Patterson who was affectionately known as the “Pantomime Queen of Chicago”. Kei grew up both watching & mimicking her mother, always knowing that music would forever play an integral role in both her life & career. She began both singing & writing her own songs by the age of 7, along with poems & short stories. As time progressed, Kei began honing her skills by singing in both, the youth choir at church & High School; while also taking acting/drama classes & participating in contests & talent shows alike. Kei has since performed at several venues throughout NWI, the Chicagoland Area & Surrounding Suburbs.
