Choroscope

Founded by David Chelimsky and John Beard in 2016, Choroscope performs Brazilian choro, a primarily instrumental form that started on the streets of Rio de Janeiro in the late 1800s. Today our lineup includes Jim Barbick on the flute, Geraldo de Oliveira on percussion, John Beard on the 7-string guitar, and David Chelimsky on cavaquinho. With the exception of the flute, these are all uniquely Brazilian instruments.
