Chicago Spelmanslag

The monthly Scandi Jam at the Swedish American Museum. We meet monthly to teach traditional tunes from Scandinavia. All acoustic instruments are welcome. Museum admission is free to musicians. Tunes are taught by ear. We play traditional music from the Nordic countries. We've been together for over 35 years, playing for festivals and dances. You can expect to hear fiddles, but also a variety of instruments including nyckelharpa, låtmandola, cow horn, bagpipes and bass.
