Kevin Norton

Dr. Kevin Norton is currently a private instructor and teacher in the Cincinnati metro area, serving as saxophone instructor at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) and as Adjunct Faculty at Xavier University. Previously, during the 2012–13 school year, he served as Adjunct Instructor at The Defiance College in Defiance, OH, teaching music appreciation and music history. He has also served as the organizer for Classical Revolution Cincinnati (based in the historic Northside neighborhood) since 2015. Dr. Norton earned his DMA in saxophone at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where he studied with Dr. James Bunte. A native of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Kevin previously studied at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky under Dr. Nathan Nabb and Prof. Eugene Norden. At Morehead, Kevin earned a Bachelor’s degree (Summa cum laude) in Music Education and a Master of Music in saxophone performance.
