Traditional Persian miniature art perfectly captures the harmony between classical music and dance, frequently depicting ethereal dancers swirling to the rhythmic, spiritual pulse of the Daf. The instrument, an ancient large frame drum strung with metal rings, sets a mystical tempo that intimately guides the fluid, expressive movements of the dancer. Tannaz will be also offering a dance participation and teaching component of her performance!
