Make Music Fullerton

Shiny Side Down

Shiny Side Down is an acoustic street-folk duo out of North Orange County, rooted in punk but pulling influence from alternative, reggae, ska, blues, and beyond. Made up of local natives who met while working at the iconic Summit House in Fullerton, their sound reflects a wide range of styles tied together by raw, honest storytelling. Their songs draw from real-life experience—reckless nights, hard lessons, and the long road back—delivered with grit, edge, and a touch of dark humor. Fronted by Jeremy Fox, the duo leans into a “Rehab Lullabies” ethos: unfiltered songs about chaos, recovery, and redemption. Whether playing on a street corner, in a recovery space, or at the Fullerton Day of Music, Shiny Side Down brings a stripped-down, no-frills performance that connects instantly. Their live sets move between rhythmic, groove-driven moments and high-energy bursts, blending multiple influences into something that feels raw, lived-in, and real.
