Marga Jayy

From Manila to Southern California, Marga Jayy is a dynamic live performer whose music blends soul, jazz, funk, and Filipino roots. Singing in both English and Tagalog, her sound is rich in storytelling and emotion—shaped by her journey as a woman, mother, and evolving artist. In 2024, she released 100 Mensahe with nu-jazz producer Dan Gil, following their Awit-nominated single Makina. Other notable projects include Daydreaming and Patay-Sindi with jazz-funk group Extrapolation. A professional performer since age 11, she honed her songwriting at the Elements music camp and trained at Berklee’s summer program, with mentorship from Gretchen Parlato and STOUT. Onstage, Marga has shared space with Cory Henry, Jesus Molina, and Mike Love at the Malasimbo Music Festival, and performed with the Manila Symphony Orchestra in Rockestra: New Blood. Her set promises depth, groove, and soul.
