The Altar Billies

The Altar Billies are a rockabilly band, with elements of swing, gospel, and country, honoring the authentic sound of American roots music. Hailing from Orange County, California, The Altar Billies are fronted by guitarist Mike Stand, and feature Johnny Hullings on upright bass, and Chuck Cummings on drums. The group plays songs from their four original full-length albums, along with hits by ’50’s rockabilly and rock ’n’ roll pioneers. For 15 years, the trio have been playing various venues and festivals in the Southern California area, as well as appearances at numerous hot rod and car shows The Altar Billies are proud to carry the Americana torch and feel passionate about doing their part to help keep this musical heritage alive, relevant, and fun. Their music and performances are designed to positively appeal to audiences both young and old, always with the aim of winning over new fans to the fresh and exciting sounds of rockabilly.
