Wallenbrock Jazz Orchestra

My name is Jacob Wallenbrock, and I am the director of the Wallenbrock Jazz Orchestra (WJO). I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Jazz and Commercial Performance at California State University, Fullerton, with an emphasis in lead trumpet performance and composition. Leading the WJO has been an incredibly rewarding experience—providing the opportunity to collaborate with talented musicians, compose original works, and make a meaningful impact through music, creativity, and community. I began writing music in high school and further developed my passion during my time at Riverside City College (RCC), where I earned an Associate of Arts in Music. With the support of dedicated mentors, I refined my skills in composition and ensemble leadership. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a master’s degree in jazz pedagogy, with the goal of contributing positively to the field of music education and inspiring both students and fellow educators.
