2026 marks the first year that Grand Rapids will be joining this amazing worldwide event. What was begun in France as an opportunity to joyfully express music in solidarity over 40 years ago has expanded to a worldwide day of music making! Grand Rapids will be one of over 200 cities where music will fill the streets of our city for one glorious day, June 21.
Participate
We want you to sing, drum, play throughout our lovely city. This could be on your front porch or city park. This could also be at a neighboring business or community center. To make it easier for you to find a space to play, we have a form to fill out for both musicians wanting to play and venues that want to host!
Music at the Fishladder
For our inaugural year, we are partnering with Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. and other community partners to bring music to Grand Rapids iconic fishladder. There will be musical opportunities from 12 noon to 5 pm presented by and for the community. You can drum with the Action Drummers or the Grand Rapids Drum Circle, sing with GR Sings, or experience the joy of Sousapalooza! Join us on the river on June 21st!
