The Great Unknwn

I am Tremaine McIntire-Thomas, also known as The Great Unknwn—a lyrical artist from Acres Homes in Houston, Texas. My work draws deeply from the lived experiences of my community, blending music and poetry to share stories of resilience, hope, and transformation. I use my art as a means of expression and healing, with a strong focus on mental safety and awareness. I began my creative journey through poetry, which brought calm and clarity at a young age. In 2019, I released my first video for “Gone Without a Trace,” and shortly after, was brought on stage by Westside Boogie at a sold-out show at House of Blues: Houston—a moment that reignited my passion for performing. In 2023, I returned to the House of Blues with my own showcase and released “Blow-Up,” continuing to navigate the challenges of building a music career as an emerging artist. In 2024, I received my first grant from the Houston Arts Alliance, which supported the release of my debut EP and a live showcase.
