With a sultry saxophone tone and a voice that moves the soul, Nneoma Lanea stands at the forefront of Kansas City’s vibrant music scene. A premier saxophonist, vocalist, and songwriter, she has masterfully carved her lane blending smooth jazz, R&B, and soulful melodies into unforgettable performances. A proud attendant of the African Centered Education Collegium Campus (ACECC), Nneoma showcased her leadership early on, serving as the saxophone section leader. She then went on to elevate her artistry at Virginia State University, performing with the iconic Trojan Explosion Band. Her talent and stage presence have earned her nominations for the Kansas City People’s Choice Awards in 2024-2026, and she has graced stages alongside legends, opening for Eric Benét, Jon B, Stokley, and Tink. Nneoma Lanea has recently released her debut saxophone album, Sax in the Elevator, promising a fresh, vibrant soundtrack for every mood and moment.
