David Luther
David Luther started playing music in high school being influenced by Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Live, Led Zeppelin, the Eagles and Queensryche. He would go on to develop his music as he worked full time in social work for 15 years, with the last five working in foster care and adoption. During that time David recorded his first self-titled EP with Neilson Hubbard in Nashville that included the backing vocals of Americana artist, Garrison Starr. Soon after he was in the recording studio in Springfield, MO with Tom Whitlock who had written the Grammy award winning “Take my Breath Away” from the movie, Top Gun. While a completed project did not manifest, David was fortunate to collaborate with Whitlock and write “World’s Gonna Change”. This song appears on his most recent album, “Take Me Home” which was recorded in Kansas City, produced by David George, and recorded and engineered by Pat Tomek of Rainmakers. David will be collaborating with Neil Hubbard on a new album this summer.
