Nief-Norf Presents: High School Open Score Workshop

Nief-Norf is a Knoxville-based community of curious listeners, adventurous artists, and innovative scholars. Specializing in contemporary chamber music, Nief-Norf presents performances, educational programs, and collaborative experiences that celebrate creativity, experimentation, and connection through sound. Join faculty from the Nief-Norf Summer Festival for a hands-on workshop exploring Julius Eastman's "Joy Boy." High school students will learn and perform the piece side-by-side with Nief-Norf Summer Festival Fellows, gaining firsthand experience with collaboration, creativity, and contemporary music-making.
