Shamisen Knoxville is a vibrant ensemble dedicated to sharing the rich traditions of Japan's shamisen music. The group actively participates in cultural festivals and events across the Southeast, offering both performances and hands-on experiences with the banjo-like instrument. Outreach visits by Shamisen Knoxville range from grade school, college, to companies and nursing homes. Through performance, education, and community engagement, the group strives to inspire and connect individuals through music and enrich the cultural tapestry of East Tennessee.
