Bascom Brass

The group was formed in 2024, when this group of musicians who had all previously played together in various combinations, decided to form a quintet. The individuals come from music backgrounds at UW-Madison, UW-Whitewater, and Concordia College (Moorhead, MN); and currently play in multiple bands and orchestras in Madison and Lake Mills. The name of the group reflects the members’ long-term connections with Madison and performances in a variety of UW music ensembles. Although all are professionals in something other than music, their passion for making music brings them together to blend the warm harmonies of Bascom Brass.
