Make Music Day

Songs for Our Times: The Medicine of Group Singing

Kva Mary Wajer invites you to open to the call of your own voice, with simple call and response group singing, an oral tradition our ancestors used in generations perhaps forgotten. Singing is every human’s birthright. Kva is passionate about sharing simple songs as a medicine of awakening, healing and connection. Group singing opens the door to rich community connection and personal aliveness. She is excited to sing and share songs that build community, songs for Fathers Day, songs of joy, work songs, restful songs, songs for our times, playful songs that pave the way for us all to come together and support each other in creating a more beautiful world. Sarah Mulvihill (Burgess) loves to share songs, to introduce others to community singing, to help people feel at ease with their voices and to celebrate the connections made through singing together. She teaches piano and voice sessions - helping others explore and gain greater ease, embodiment and expansiveness with their voices.
