
Nate Gibson
Nate Gibson is an audio archivist, ethnomusicologist, folklorist, musician, and songwriter preserving and celebrating our nation's musical heritage. His music has been released on Bear Family Records (Germany), Swelltune Records, Goofin’ Records (Finland), and Cow Island Music and his latest release, Nate Gibson & the Stars of Starday, features him duetting with 14 country music stars since the 1950s and 60s, accompanied by Country Music Hall of Famer Marty Stuart and members of his Fabulous Superlatives band. Recently, Nate Gibson and the Stardazers shared their own brand of honky-tonk, western swing, rockabilly, classic country, and bluegrass at the Stoughton Opera House, Symco Weekender, Atwood Fest, Willy Street Fair, Catfish River Music Festival, Hamel Music Center, High Noon Saloon, the UW Memorial Union Terrace, the Sh*tty Barn and beyond. Gibson also co-hosts WORT’s Wednesday morning Back to the Country radio program and occasionally plays solo songwriting showcases.
