About
Make Music Day is a global celebration of music held on the summer solstice, June 21st, and is enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds. This free, community-wide event takes place all day long in over 1,000 cities around the world, including Marble Falls, Texas! Part of the international Make Music Day movement, it brings together local musicians and music lovers to celebrate the joy of music in outdoor spaces.
Everyone is invited to participate by performing, hosting an outdoor event, or showing appreciation. It’s a chance to help showcase the vibrant Marble Falls music scene while celebrating music for the love of it!
Marble Falls is proud to be a Music Friendly Texas Community designated by the Texas Music Office as well as a thriving community of talented music professionals. We recognize and appreciate the economic impact the music industry has on the City of Marble Falls!

Participate
Make Music Day Marble Falls encourages live music performances across the city – any genre, type, or skill level of music is welcome!

You can host a music-making session at your home, workplace, or online!

Individuals or groups can perform music in parks, streets, plazas, or community centers.

Schedule
Rhythm & Fun in the Park
Get ready to move and groove! Harmony School of Creative invites families to a fun-filled morning with rhythm instruments in Harmony Park.
📍 Location: Harmony Park
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
From 9:00 to 9:30 AM, enjoy open play with a variety of rhythm instruments—perfect for little hands and big smiles! Then from 9:30 to 10:00 AM, join us for a short, guided music class led by Harmony School staff. We’ll clap, tap, and sing our way through a playful introduction to rhythm and sound. 10 to 10:30 AM more open play time! This free, family-friendly event is ideal for young children and their caregivers. No experience needed—just bring your love of music!
Makey Makey Piano Play!
Discover the fun where music meets science with Learning Mosaic!
📍 Location: Marble Falls Visitor Center
🕘 Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Get hands-on with a Makey Makey piano—an interactive experience that turns everyday objects into working piano keys! Whether you’re curious about how circuits work or just want to play a tune on a banana, this event is perfect for kids and families to explore creativity, technology, and learning through play.

Community Drum Circle
Get ready to feel the beat! You’re invited to a community drum circle in Johnson Park. Free drumsticks for the first 24 participants!
📍 Location: Johnson Park
🕘 Time: 6:00 PM
Musical talent is not needed. A drum circle is a gathering of people who play drums and other percussion instruments together in a circle to create a group rhythm. A facilitator will guide the group through rhythms and activities, and participants will work together in rhythm and harmony. The drum circles are open to people of all ages and abilities.
