GUACK
NJ-based alternative punk band GUACK was started as an experimental math rock duo by Frank Latona (vocals, guitar) and Ian Moran (bass guitar, vocals). After releasing a 2012 demo on Bandcamp, the band was put on hiatus for about a decade, as life took its toll. Rekindling the project with renewed perspectives in 2022, GUACK broadened its sound and reach, undergoing lineup and musical style changes in the process. In 2024, longtime collaborators Joe Reiner (guitar, backup vocals) and Dave Sotomayor (drums, tracking/mixing/mastering) were recruited to fill out GUACK’s ranks for a live band. Since then, GUACK has been regularly gigging in North Jersey and NYC, bringing a frenzied and cheeky offering of sound along with them.
