Podge Lane

Podge Lane is an Irish alt-country artist known for intimate lyricism and experimental country instrumentation. Since his 2021 debut Outer Monologues, he’s toured Europe, played Ireland’s inaugural ‘Your Roots Are Showing’ showcase, and supported acts like The Wedding Present, Charlie Parr, and Vieux Farka Touré. His sophomore LP Common Country Misconceptions earned features in RTE, Hot Press, and American Songwriter. In 2024, Lane headlined his “Sad But Tourable” UK/Ireland tour, recorded a live concert film at London’s Green Note, and released his third LP Multiple Dead Ends—praised by Grateful Web as “a sonic reinvention” and by Maverick Magazine as “a 12-track exploration of self-doubt and ageing,” drawing comparisons to John Prine and Jimmy Buffett.
