The Prinkipo Quintet
Prinkipo Quintet specializes in the rich music of Turkey and Eastern Mediterranean region, comprising five esteemed musicians hailing from Turkey, Lebanon, and Macedonia. Each member has extensively studied their musical heritage and now shares it with audiences in the United States and worldwide. The ensemble members are each bringing their unique talents together to create new sounds and spread a message of unity and peace. The ensemble is passionate about promoting their music through live performances and educational programs at academic institutions. The members include Fuat Caner Tokgozol on the oud, Sal Mamudoski on the clarinet, Gilbert Mansour on percussions, Dila Oktay on Classical Kamancheh and Ozlem Rozanitis as the vocalist. The quintet members have a history of performing at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Central Park Summer Stage and the New York Apollo Theater. The Prinkipo Quintet offers a diverse repertoire of folk and traditional songs.
