Doc Boogie

Craig Radix, known as Doc Boogie, is an Afro-Caribbean MC and pioneering voice from the 1980s East Coast hip-hop scene as a member of D4. Performing then as Imperial Rocker Crazy Craig, he helped fuse hip-hop with live rock guitar, shaping an early sound that pushed genre boundaries. His influence runs deep—recognized by Os Gemeos and credited by Bobbito Garcia as an early inspiration, with appearances in Stretch and Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives and Rock Rubber 45s. After decades away, Doc Boogie returns with Life’s Work—an eclectic blend of vintage hip-hop, rock, reggae, and contemporary sound. A master MC with a storyteller’s edge, he represents innovation, authenticity, and the enduring evolution of hip-hop culture.
