Jim Martin's Tyre Isle Band

Tyre Isle Band, created by Jim Martin, plays the traditional music of the British Isles including the dance tunes and ballads from Ireland, Scotland, England, Shetland and the Hebrides. The band is conceived as a reunion from the early 80s when Jim toured the US and Canada with a traditional British isles band called How to Change a Flat Tire. With Tatayana Gorbunova on flute, the internationally celebrated accordionist Will Holshouser, and Jim on mandolin, guitar, mandocello and banjo, Trye Isle Band reimagines the dance tunes and Ballads of the British Isles. Trye Isle may also include the Shetland fiddle specialist, Maggie Holtzberg who also was in the original HTCAFT band.
