Evil Jake

Evil Jake is a New York–based rock project built to turn anywhere into a real show, including the street. Led by Mike Jacobs, the band blends hook-heavy rock, punk energy, and unexpected left turns into something that feels both tight and completely unfiltered. The project carries real credits: music featured in School of Rock (starring Jack Black), placements across MTV, NBC, and Queer Eye, national radio airplay, and a USO celebrity tour. They’ve shared stages with The Strokes and The Bravery, and collaborated with Cheap Trick. At the same time, the project is intentionally multi-dimensional. Jacobs also leads Evil Jazz, a trio that reimagines iconic songs as late-night instrumental grooves, bringing that same musicality and unpredictability into the DNA of Evil Jake. With sold-out NYC shows and a fast-growing audience, Evil Jake brings something rare to Make Music NY: a band that feels just as natural on a festival stage as it does taking over a city block.
