Make Music Ridgefield, CT

Seth Augustus

“This is the music God hears in his sleep when He has a high fever…” — Spider Robinson. Seth Augustus paid his early dues in the venerable art-punk and experimental music world of 1980s Boston, where he picked up a healthy ethic of DIY self-reliance. Today his music is an original collage of deep influences from those early days as well as Delta Blues, American Roots, and World Music. In the late 80s he moved to San Francisco, where he played in experimental rock bands, eventually studying Tuvan Throat Singing & Delta Blues with the legendary Paul Pena (Genghis Blues). Seth was part of a thriving music scene in San Francisco’s Mission District, releasing 2 CDs on Porto Franco Records. He toured those albums on the West Coast, & in Europe with a band of musicians from Rennes, France. He also performed at the ’Khoomei in the Center of Asia’ festival in Kyzyl, Tuva in 2015. In 2021, he & his wife moved to Ridgefield, where he continues to write and record. (Pls stop by & say 'Hey')
