Chris Fecteau & Karen Rich
Chris Fecteau is a vocal coach, pianist, and conductor, newly transplanted from NYC to Sherman, CT. He was founding Artistic Director of dell'Arte Opera Ensemble for more than 25 years, helping young singers bridge the gap between school and a flourishing career. Currently he coaches singers, serves as a substitute church organist, gardens, and is growing a business restoring and reselling antique furniture. Karen Rich performed operatic roles ranging from Tosca and Ariadne to Rosalinda and Marschallin (as a soprano), and Sesto to Komponist (as a mezzo). Recital repertoire includes Alma Mahler, Alban Berg, Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner plus contemporary composers like Lawrence Rush, Ellen Mandel and Valerie Saalbach. She has been featured soloist and choir member at Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Manhattan since 2008. With husband Chris Fecteau, she co-produced more than 60 productions with dell’Arte Opera, all featuring young artists in debut roles.
