Come participate in Salado’s community live music gatherings every Summer Solstice (June 21st) & the Winter Solstice (December 21st). The Salado Music Friendly Community Board, We Are Music Salado, & Make Music Alliance have collaborated to bring free family friendly music events to Salado’s “Historic Music Mile” (Main Street).
No musical talented needed! Just bring your excitement and instrument of choice! Don’t have one? Show us your creativity! We encourage the young and old, musically talented or rhythmically challenged to participate.
It’s not how good you are playing a instrument, it’s how much fun you can create with the people in your community!

SUMMER SOLSTICE EVENT! JUNE 21st 2025
Join Us for Salado’s 2nd Annual Summer Solstice Drum Circle!
Calling kids of all ages (80 and under)! It’s back! The largest drum circle event in Salado returns for round two, and we want YOU to be part of the rhythm!
Bring a bucket, flower pot, pan, hand drum or anything you can dream up to make a beat. We’ll provide complimentary Vic Firth drumsticks to keep your rhythm going! Don’t worry, we will offer some guidance to help get a great beat going!
We are also going to have an AIR DRUMMING CONTEST so show us your mad rock ‘in drumming skills!
Last year we had 82 people show up, let’s break that record this year!
FREE and all ages welcome No musical experience needed Just bring your banging instrument of choice and a smile Arrive at 6:30pm to check in and receive your drumsticks for a 7:00 banging good time!!!

HOW DID THE INTERNATIONAL EVENT COME TO SALADO?
The Salado Music Friendly Community Board joined the Make Music Alliance with aspirations to create music together as a community. We feel music is an integral part of the arts that brings people together in a beautiful and uplifting way. Not only does live music event forge new friendships, but it also helps grow the economic development of Salado Texas.
