Dan Miles has been quietly cultivating a sonic garden for the past 20 years—equal parts solid air and shadow. Drawing on the delicate fingerstyle traditions of Nick Drake and John Fahey, his acoustic guitar work drifts beneath vocal harmonies that wouldn’t feel out of place in a forgotten Beach Boys demo tape found in a dream. Ethereal and slightly off-center, his music offers a gentle nudge toward something just out of reach. He previously emerged from the mist to perform at Yule Make Music 2024—then disappeared again, just as quietly.
