Gemanereida Music
Gemanereida Barragán Cruz is a first-generation Latina singer and musician originally from Portland, Oregon. Known for her deep connection to her cultural roots, she is a passionate vocalist, especially in the mariachi genre, and a versatile performer who sings in a variety of musical styles. She is currently pursuing a degree in music at Portland State University's School of Music and Theatre, where she has honed her vocal skills. *Winner of the Oregon State Solo Music Competition (2024): Gemanereida placed first in the alto category. *Finalist in the Mariachi Extravaganza Vocal Competition (2025) *Involved in cultural and social events, such as the Women's Day March in Forest Grove, Oregon. *Gemanereida has performed at various festivals and civic events including the Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival, Hillsboro Mariachi Festival, Portland Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, 2024 La Strada Festival, Salem Day of the Dead, and Fiesta Mexicana.
