Dan Lowe
Dan Lowe Born and raised in Alaska, Dan Lowe got swept up in Beatlemania and the British Invasion at an early age. His love of music led to him learning any instrument he could get his hands on, concentrating on the piano and guitar, as they were the primary tools used in songwriting - which became his obsession. Besides having won several songwriting and performing awards, Dan has also been named Portland's Performing Songwriter of the Year, and has had one of his songs used by well-known songwriting coach, Jai Josefs, for his "Getting Into The Groove" CD/seminar. Although he describes himself as a “Roots/Americana” artist, Dan’s music is eclectic, interweaving elements of rock, country, folk, jazz, R & B, and the blues. When asked what makes his own music unique, Dan says it is, “Taking all of the above and blending them into something that I typically perform on solo acoustic guitar!”
