Gina Turcketta, Ukulele Instructor and Jam Leader
Come learn to play the ukulele with local ukulele player Gina Turcketta. This strum and learn event incorporates learning popular music with basic chord structures to be able to play hundreds of songs in no time. As a member/founder of the ukulele band The Feisty Four Stringers, Gina will introduce many well-known classic rock tunes that will keep you strumming and singing with a smile on your face! Gina served four years in AmeriCorps where she worked with the IDD community in Greensboro North Carolina. She introduced the ukulele to her community through community ukulele jams, and emphasized the fact that music is inclusive of all and is very therapeutic. Her motto is it doesn’t matter if you hit the right note, it just matters that we are all together and having fun!! So uke on!
