About
MAKE MUSIC DAY JUNE 21, 2024
Make Music Spooner-Shell Lake is a live, free musical celebration on June 21, the longest day of the year. Concerts and events can happen just about anywhere — at businesses, neighborhhoods, churches, organizations, schools, libraries — and especially on streets, sidewalks, and parks across our towns.
Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, Make Music is celebrated on the same day every year in more than 1,000 cities in dozens of countries around the world. Make Music Day is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — participates to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.
Make Music Day nurtures our souls through the joy of music and its ability to bring people together.
