About
On the summer solstice, June 21st, Make Music Day is observed across the globe. What began in France as the Fête de la Musique in 1982, is now a celebration of music in more than 1,000 cities across 120 countries. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to all who want to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.
The Stevens Point Downtown Business Improvement District in junction with CREATE Portage County will be celebrating Make Music Day by encouraging our friends and neighbors to get out and enjoy live music around the downtown area.
Schedule
12-3pm Live Music – Mathias Mitchell Public Square with Buskers,
Demos with Harmonicas and Drumsticks, and Lots of Joyful Music!
Thank you to East Top Harmonicas and Vic Firth for the kind donations and helping us make music together!
