Y’all are invited to celebrate Make Music Day in Sweetwater, Texas on June 21!
What started in France back in 1982 has turned into a worldwide celebration in over 2,000 cities—and now Sweetwater is joining the party. This isn’t your typical music festival… it’s a community-wide day where music pops up all over town and anyone can be part of it.
Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a garage band regular, a church choir member, a student, or just someone who loves to sing on the porch, you’ve got a place here. From country and rock to gospel, R&B, and everything in between—if it makes a sound, it belongs.
ALL PERFORMANCES ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Make Music Day Sweetwater is all about bringing folks together, sharing a little joy, and celebrating the magic of music—no matter your age or skill level. You don’t have to be on stage to join in, either. Pull up a chair, stroll around town, and enjoy live music happening all day long.
So whether you’re ready to play a tune or just sit back and soak it all in, come be part of something special right here in Sweetwater.

Perform
Make Music Day Sweetwater is an all-ages, all-inclusive celebration of music—and it’s open to ANYONE who wants to join in!
Every kind of musician is welcome—young or old, just starting out or seasoned pro, country crooners to rock bands and everything in between. For as little as 15 minutes, you can turn your front porch, your storefront sidewalk, your business, or even a parking lot into your own little music venue.
ALL EVENTS MUST BE FREE AND HELD IN PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE SPACES.

Got a guitar, a voice, a fiddle, or a full band? We want you!
Musicians of all styles, ages, and experience levels are invited to sign up and perform on Make Music Day Sweetwater. You can play one set or line up a few throughout the day—it’s up to you.
Just create a profile, add a photo, a short description of your act, and any social links. Then browse available spots around town and request the one that fits your style. Once a venue confirms, you’re all set! And don’t be surprised if more than one spot wants to host you.
