Keene American Legion Band
NEW HAMPSHIRE PERFORMANCE in WALPOLE (Walpole Green Bandstand). Formed in 1946, the Keene American Legion Band is 80 Years Strong! We are a part of New Hampshire Legion Post 4. We play a typical program of New England Village Summer Concert Band Pieces, together with Patriotic Music and Marches by E.E. Bagley, J.P. Sousa, & others. This concert graciously sponsored by The Savings Bank of Walpole. It takes place less than 1/2 mile from the Connecticut River border with Vermont as the crow flies, and is less than a 3-minute drive from the river. Due N.H. not having a Make Music Day org. yet, & due to Walpole adjoining Vermont, we have okay to list here. Part of Sousapalooza Day !!! Concert is rain or shine. If the weather is bad, concert will be in the Town Hall across the street. Take Vermont 123 just over a mile Across the Conn.River from Westminster, Vt. to Walpole, NH. Hot dogs & slices of pies available prior to first concert downbeat. Bring your lawn chairs/lawn blankets!
