Paul Marangelo
A few demos from 40 years of sporadic songwriting. My first musical endeavor was as a bass player with a group called “The Wooden Soldiers” that had some local success in central New Jersey in the late 1980’s. I then shelved most of my musical ambitions to find a way to make a living that was not overly soul-killing. Now semi-retired, I'm once again playing music intensively. I play occasional gigs (when I can get them), show up on occasion at local open mics, play a bit in local Traditional Irish Music sessions (mostly on flute with questionable proficiency), support Kirtan music circles/events, and sometimes open/close Ecstatic Dances with solo flute renditions of O'Carolan tunes and Zen-based Shakuhachi music.
