Make Music Winter

Bell by Bell

Join “Bell by Bell” on December 21 from 3:30–4:30pm at Astor Place Plaza to ring in the winter season. This Make Music Winter tradition invites first-timers and non-musicians—especially kids and families—to become music makers. Participants receive color-coded handbells, learn the basics, and follow conductors waving matching flags to perform special handbell compositions that grow more dynamic as everyone plays together. Held at the iconic Astor Place cube sculpture, the event is presented in partnership with the Village Alliance, the local Business Improvement District. The Village Alliance celebrates this annual community gathering and looks forward to ringing in the holiday season with Make Music New York and neighbors across the Village.
