Heath James Hardin writes songs derived from the landscapes and people of rural Pennsylvania. He is a multi-instrumentalist that utilizes influences from bluegrass, delta blues, folk, and Americana styles to create songs that reflect an earned wisdom and a life well-examined. Employing banjo, resonator guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin and ukelele, Hardin writes songs that challenge stereotypical country and folk styles. Hardin has released over 20 albums since 2008 under a variety of monikers (Jellyspine Jenkins, Olds Sleeper, Primitive Agriculture, Skeleton Clouds, The Broken Kids) His album, New Year’s Poem was selected as one of the “ALBUMS OF THE DECADE 2010-2020” by Saving Country Music, which also hailed him as “One of the best songwriters of our generation.”
